01Overview
Memepass Pad launches pump.fun coins and adds one thing: a buy with a meme. You buy a coin through the pass and attach one picture. The picture hangs on today's wall, and you get a bonus in the coin's tokens from its bonus pool.
Your bought tokens and the bonus wait in the cloakroom (locked) for 24 h and until the day ends. A buy-and-dump earns nothing.
Holders vote with red dots: a red dot locks tokens on a meme until the close. At the close the coin's top meme goes on view (x3 bonus for its author), and the best meme of the whole pad wins the day's SOL prize.
COMPROMISE, IN PLAIN WORDS
- The idea asked for votes by a balance snapshot. Pump coins keep no holder list, so a red dot locks tokens instead (a vote escrow). Weight = tokens locked. The same tokens cannot vote twice.
- The bonus exists only for buys through Memepass. A plain pump.fun buy of the same coin is untouched and gets nothing.
- The topic and content check is an AI check run by the pad's worker, off chain. The chain only checks that the worker signed the meme.

03The pass, step by step
- Drop a picture on the pass. The site converts it to PNG in your browser.
- The worker checks it: the file, the topic (AI), the rules (block lists), duplicates by perceptual hash (pHash, Hamming distance ≤ 8 to any meme of the coin is refused; an exact pHash anywhere on the pad is refused on chain). It pins the PNG on IPFS and signs a 44-byte attestation:

buy_with_meme(day, sol_in, min_out, min_bonus, ...). The program buys on the pump curve (or PumpSwap after migration) and computes the bonus from the real buy. - Bonus = min(10 % of the tokens bought, 2M tokens, 2 % of the pool, what is left of the coin's daily budget). The daily budget: all bonuses of a coin in one day take at most 25 % of (its pool + what it already gave that day), so many wallets cannot drain the pool in a day. Tokens + bonus go into your Lock.
- Guards: the site passes
min_out(the quote minus 3 %) andmin_bonus(80 % of the quoted bonus); if the price or the pool moved further before your transaction lands, it fails and nothing is spent.
Worked example: 0.10 SOL buys 3,000,000 tokens -> nominal bonus 300,000. Pool 50,000,000: 2 % cap = 1,000,000. Bonus = 300,000. Locked: 3,300,000 until the release time.
04Where the money goes
Every coin's creator is its Fees PDA. collect (anyone, the keeper runs it) takes pump's creator fees and splits them:
The pool SOL is spent only by refill: it buys the coin back into the bonus pool through a Buyer PDA, guarded by a median of 7 price observations over 15 min, a max 0.5 % of the venue's SOL depth, 25 % of the pool SOL per refill and an interval. Anyone can press it (the pool row on the home page has the button).
The prize pot of a day with no winner rolls into the carry. A winning day takes its pot + at most 1x its pot from the carry.

09Admin powers
THE ADMIN CAN
- pause new launches and passes;
- change the params of coins launched later (within the bounds in the table);
- rotate the attestor and guardian keys, only through a 4-day timelock (the guardian can cancel a pending attestor rotation);
- switch meme buys on and off (the guardian can only switch them off);
- hide a meme (with the guardian): it stops taking votes and loses its award. The award stays in the pool / the carry.
THE ADMIN CANNOT
- move any user's tokens or SOL: locks, votes, awards and prizes can only go to their owner;
- spend the pool except by a guarded refill buy;
- change the params of a coin that already launched;
- close the program's accounts or take the prize pot.
10Risks
- Price. Your tokens are locked for 24 h and until the day ends; the price can fall meanwhile. Red dots lock tokens until the close.
- The worker. It decides which pictures pass. A bad worker key could approve anything, but every pass still pays full price at market and the bonus is capped; the guardian can switch passes off at once.
- Vote power. For the pad-wide prize, votes compare in SOL: each red dot's power is its liquidation value stacked on the meme's earlier votes and priced at the 7-observation median, so splitting a bag into many votes or pumping the price first gains nothing.
- Whales. Votes are weighted by tokens locked: a large holder can put their own meme on view. The award is capped at 5 % of the pool and 10 % of that day's locked votes.
- Sybils. One bonus per wallet per coin per day. More wallets = more bonuses, each costing a real buy, a unique picture and 24 h of price risk; each bonus takes at most 2 % of what is left in the pool.
- Pump. If pump.fun changes its program, passes fail and nothing is lost.
11FAQ
- Why was my meme refused?
- The pass prints the reason: too close to an existing meme (the distance is shown), off topic, blocked, or you already got today's bonus on this coin.
- Can I sell right after a pass?
- No. That is the point: the tokens and bonus from a pass sit in the cloakroom until the release time. Tokens you bought elsewhere are free.
- Why can't I vote with my pass tokens?
- They are locked in the cloakroom. A red dot locks tokens you hold in your wallet.
- Who pays me out?
- Nobody has to: release, withdraw and claims are permissionless pushes. The keeper sends them; the cloakroom row has a Claim button too.
- Does the same picture work on two coins?
- No. The Meme account is keyed by the picture's perceptual hash, pad-wide: a picture hangs once.
